Hello,
My name is Danika, and this is my third year with Kawabunga Camps. Driven by a passion for education, I’ve been working with children for over five years. Whether it’s tutoring, substitute teaching, daycare, or coordinating a day camp, I’ve had the privilege of supporting young people in a variety of enriching settings.
Over the years, I’ve developed strong skills in group management, activity planning, and positive intervention. These experiences have helped me refine an approach that’s both caring and structured, focused on the development and well-being of the children.
Organization and initiative are two of my greatest strengths, and I’m committed to creating a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for your kids. As the lead coordinator, I genuinely care about seeing the families in our community thrive and create unforgettable memories.
What do I love most about my job? Watching the kids grow, play, and develop, day after day. Looking forward to welcoming you this summer!

Hi,
My name is Koopa, and this summer will mark my fifth season with Kawabunga. I’m a determined, detail-oriented, and friendly person with a good sense of humor — qualities I believe are essential in a camp setting. Through my journey with Kawabunga Community Services, I’ve developed solid experience and a skill set that will allow me to effectively lead the camps in Casselman, Limoges, and Crysler this summer.
My work as a substitute teacher in CSDCEO schools has also helped me refine my skills in group management, communication, and supporting children in their development. I’m excited to meet you all and to once again contribute to Kawabunga’s mission of creating a summer that’s both enriching and unforgettable for your children.

Working with children has always been more than just a job for me – it’s a true calling. Whether it’s at summer camp or in school, I’ve always been drawn to environments where the energy, creativity, and curiosity of young people set the pace of the day. My name is Maïka, and I’ve been part of the Kawabunga adventure for three years now. Over time, I’ve developed an approach that combines organization, kindness, and active listening. I strive to offer enriching activities designed to meet the needs of each child while ensuring their safety and well-being. What motivates me every day is seeing them have fun, grow in confidence, and leave with positive memories. By creating a welcoming and secure atmosphere, I hope that every child can thrive and enjoy an unforgettable experience at camp.

Hello!
My name is Zumba, and I’m thrilled to be part of the Kawabunga team for a second consecutive summer. I’m a student at the University of Ottawa and will be starting the Faculty of Education this September — a field I’m truly passionate about.
For several years, I’ve been teaching competitive dance to youth, and I’m currently working as a substitute teacher. These experiences have not only fueled my love for teaching but also my desire to support children in their growth.
Creative, energetic, and always smiling, I bring my enthusiasm, my listening skills, and my commitment to the camp. I love taking on new challenges, giving my all to what I do, and creating days filled with laughter and unforgettable memories. I prioritize the safety of the children and strive to provide them with a fun and enriching experience.
For me, camp is a special place where every child can have fun, grow, and feel fully welcomed. I can’t wait to share another unforgettable summer with all of you!

Hi there!
I’m Tournesol, and I’ve been a part of the Kawabunga team since the summer of 2020. I worked as an animator at Camp Connexion for three consecutive summers before becoming a coordinator. Over the past few years, I’ve held various positions in childcare services, schools, and summer camps in the region, where I lead educational, sports, and artistic activities for children and teens of all ages and needs.
These experiences, combined with my passion for education and working with youth, motivated me to pursue studies in teaching. Through my professional and academic journey, I’ve gained strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Passionate about the arts and dance, I stand out for my creativity and energy. The well-being of everyone is my top priority, and my goal is to create unforgettable memories. Looking forward to spending a wonderful summer with you!
